Global FX People ("we", "us", "our") is a specialist recruitment network serving the CFD/FX brokerage industry. This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal data when you interact with our website, register your interest, apply for a role, or engage us as a hiring broker.
Who we are
Global FX People is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are Career Enterprises, registered in Australia, with a registered office at Level 26, 1 Bligh Street, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia. Our operational offices are also based in Sydney, Australia. You can contact us using the details at the end of this policy.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect: your name, email address, phone number, LinkedIn profile, resume/CV and its contents, department or role preferences, and any information you provide in messages to us. If you are a hiring broker, we may collect your company details and careers page information.
How we use your information
We use your information to match you with relevant roles, share your profile and resume with hiring brokers considering you for a position, respond to your enquiries, and where relevant, provide promotional or outreach services on behalf of hiring brokers. We do not sell your personal data.
The legal basis we rely on depends on the purpose:
- To match candidates with relevant roles and share profiles with hiring brokers — on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a recruitment network, or your consent where you submit an application.
- To respond to enquiries and provide promotional or outreach services on behalf of hiring brokers — on the basis of legitimate interest or, where required, your consent.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations — on the basis of legal obligation.
Sharing your information
As a recruitment network, sharing your details with prospective employers is core to what we do. We share candidate information, including resumes, with hiring brokers actively considering candidates for a specific role. We may also use trusted service providers (such as our applicant tracking system) solely to operate our recruitment services.
Hiring company information
When a hiring broker engages us to promote a role, we may publish their company name, brand, careers page details and job description publicly as part of the listing, so candidates can identify and apply to the opportunity. Where a hiring broker submits company details through our website (for example, via our careers page tracking form), we use that information solely to provide our promotion and recruitment services, and do not sell it to third parties.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our website, remember your preferences, and understand how our site is used. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie settings tool available on our website. Some cookies are essential to the site's operation and cannot be switched off.
International data transfers
We operate across 20+ jurisdictions. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own, including where a prospective employer is based. Where we transfer personal data outside the UK or European Economic Area to a country that does not have an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK and EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or the recipient's own compliance with an approved certification or code of conduct. You can request further details of the safeguards we use by contacting us.
Data retention
We retain candidate profiles and resumes for 24 months from your last interaction with us, or for the duration of an active search plus a reasonable follow-up period, whichever is longer, so that we can consider you for future roles. Hiring broker information is retained for the duration of our engagement and a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping purposes. We may retain information for longer where required by law or to resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your data at any time, and we will action your request unless we are legally required to retain it.
Your rights
Depending on where you are based, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request deletion of your data
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent
To make a request, contact us using the details below. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority — for example, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK, or the relevant data protection authority in your EU/EEA country of residence.
